Cheestastic Sounds
Space Dimension Controller - Space Party

Space Dimension Controller - Welcome To The Microsector-50 is so far among the most interesting releases of 2013. More like a narrated story than just an album.
For some reason Space Party didn’t fit into the story and is hereby offered as a free download. Egyptian Lover meets Afrika Bambaataa type of old skoolish electro.
Kavinsky - Protovision
Kavinsky and squealing guitars! I’d say it’s about time to flirt with heavy metal sounds of the 80’s. Also, this is the first time the character comes alive as previous artwork and videos featured only animated figure. It’s quite alright and obviously we see the references to the movie Drive.
His album Outrun is out now.
Mr Oizo - Unreleased Unfinished Unpleasant

A free compilation of unreleased tracks by Mr Oizo. As the name suggests, it can get a bit unpleasant at times, BUT nevertheless it’s probably the most suitable soundtrack for THE END OF THE WORLD!
As enjoyable the website is, I’m also grateful not all sites are like that ;)

Mantronix - Scream
Gratifying new jack swing/electro circa 1987. My secret ambition is to someday produce a track like this ;)
Nolan Thomas - Yo’ Little Brother
Splendid freestyle & delightful vid! 1984 electro-disco biz. Anyone notice similarities to Cruel Summer by Bananarama?
Sure Thing - Holding You Tight.
A bit of surprise: DJ Die (dnb guru), Joker (dubstep maestro) & a few other join together to create genuine sounding 80s boogie! And it’s not a boring pastiche either: apparently everything was created from scratch and not from samples. Comes with irresistibly proper video too.
Released through multi-genre label Gutterfunk which is run by Die himself.
